Service Objectives  

  • To provide tailor- made diversified trainings and care to meet user’s individual needs and promote a whole-person development.

  • To provide educational and support services for parents to relieve their stress.

  • To develop volunteer work and social integration program for facilitating users ‘s social integration.

  Fees  

  • Free of charge (without lunch).

  • Fees may be charged depending on individual activities.

Application Procedures

  • Referred by the social workers to the Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Services of the Social Welfare Department.

Withdrawal Procedures  

Apply to the centre directly.

 Centre Information

  Target Group  

  • People with Moderate to Severe grade Mentally Handicapped aged 15 or above

Scopes of Service  

  • Training and Development service:
    To conduct ongoing assessment to evaluate the ability of service users and work on individual plan and training courses, such as muscle ability, self-care ability, communication skills etc. and leisure and recreational activities.

  • Nursing care service:
    To provide nursing care (drug supervision, wound management, basic body checkup, etc.), care of daily living, lunch arrangement, etc. If necessary, referrals can be made to request for professional paramedic services, etc.

  • Parents support services: 
    To organize various activities for parents such as lectures, visits and workshops; hold parent staff committee meetings regularly to maintain contacts with them and provide support on their needs.

  • Community work:
    To invite different organizations and volunteers to visit or co-organize various integration activities; organize community educational activities to enhance community understanding and acceptance towards people with intellectual disabilities, for promoting community integration.
