Counselling Service and Application for Long Term Caring Service and Hidden Elderly Service: University of Hong Kong, Kennedy Town and Mount Davis, Kwun Lung Lau, Sai Wan, Belcher’s Street, Water Street and part of Sai Ying Pun (from West of Western Street), Western part to Pokfulam Road (odd numbers from 1 to 109 and even numbers from 2 to 96), numbers under 188 on Victoria Road, even numbers from 2 to 72 on Mount Davis Road, Tai Pak Terrace area, Smithfield, Pokfield Road and central Pokfulam Road
Service Objectives
The centre is a type of community support services at neighbourhood level to provide a range of comprehensive services to enable the elderly to remain in the community, to lead a healthy, respectful and dignified life, to age in place, to enhance their positive and contributing role to the society and to involve the public in building up a caring community.
Target Group and Scopes of Service
Target Group
People aged 60 or above in the community.
Aged 55 to 59 Community University for the Elderly memebers.
Individuals responsible for elderly care, including high-need caregivers
Scopes of Service
Health Promotion, Education and Development, Social and Recreational Activities
Through a variety of activities, we support older adults in building healthy lifestyles, engaging in lifelong learning, staying socially connected, and enjoying a fulfilling later life.
Dementia Support Services
We enhance public awareness of dementia through community education and promotional activities. Early identification of individuals with dementia and their caregivers is encouraged, with support provided through training, support groups, and other services.
Support Services for Hidden Elders
By mobilizing community resources, we reach out to underserved or socially withdrawn older adults with low motivation to seek help, assisting them in building support networks.
Caregiver Support Services
We offer counseling, mutual support groups, training, rehabilitation equipment rental and purchase services to enhance caregivers’ knowledge and skills, helping to relieve caregiving stress.
Counseling Services
Professional counseling is provided to help older adults address emotional, interpersonal, financial, and caregiving challenges. Referrals to other community care services are made when necessary.
Elderly Support Services
Through social workers and volunteers, we assist solitary elders and elderly couples in overcoming difficulties and building community connections.
Long-term Care Services
We assist older adults in applying for long-term care services and conducting home care assessments.
Volunteer Development
We encourage older adults and community members to participate in volunteer work. Through service opportunities, training, and recognition, volunteers are empowered to contribute meaningfully and embrace active aging.
Drop-in and Individual Support Services
We provide leisure space, access to center facilities, consultation, and referral services to meet individual needs.

Fees
Membership fee for the centre: HK$21/year; Community University for the Elderly: HK$20/year; Caregiver Hub Membership: Free of charge

Application Procedures
Visit in person or call to the centre for application; or referred by government departments, welfare organisations, local groups or individuals.
Withdrawal Procedures
Submit your request to the centre in person, by phone or in writing.
