  Service Objectives

  • The centre provides nursing, rehabilitation training, counselling and referral, social and recreational activities, personal care, meals, transportation, carer support services and so on to elders who are not taken care of by family members in the daytime with an aim to maintain elders’ physical health and body function. The centre also maintains elders’ motive and ability so that they can age in place.

Target Group

  • People aged 60 or above with weak or poor conditions and have difficulty to take care of themselves. They should be lack of personal care during the daytime and non-bedridden.

  • Carers of the elderly.

Scopes of Service

  • Integrated Assessment and Casework: integrated assessment plan is set out for individual needs; casework meeting is held with joint input from members and carers to set out casework plan; counselling and referral services are provided.

  • Nursing Service: health check including measuring of blood pressure, body temperature and pulse rate; basic nursing care such as medication and wound management; health education such as giving advice on health education and health talks.

  • Rehabilitation Therapy Service: rehabilitation exercises, cognitive training and so on; evaluation and purchase of rehabilitation equipment on the service users’ behalf.

  • Social and Developmental Programmes: social activities such as gaming group, birthday parties; developmental activities such as current affairs, interest group; community activities.

​​

  • Daily Care: provide assistance to elders in their daily living such as toileting, cleaning, feeding and escort.

​​

  • Supportive Service: meals and respite service for the elderly; training on counselling and care skills are provided for carers.

Facilities

  • Hall for activities, counselling room, rehabilitation room, multi-sensory treatment room, canteen, washroom and bathroom.

  Fees

  • Monthly fee is 200 yuan and each meal costs 8 yuan.

  • Apply in person or make a phone call to the centre, or referred by Street Office, Residents’ Committee or other units.

  Withdrawal Procedures

Apply to the centre.
